Before being known by the gondolas and romance, Venice was an important port alongside rival Genoa.
Venice, the capital of the Veneto was one of the important cities where distillation started in Europe. Grappa, the Italian grape brandy, has his birth place in the region.
In Venice, 1601, factories and workshops of eaux de vie become numerous by then. Thus, the “Corporation of Acquavitari” was born. From Veneto, liquor was exported to Germany, and from there it took over Europe.
Veneto is one of the largest wine regions of Italy. Including such huge names as the white Soave and the red Amarone de la Valpolicella.
Veneto is home of some noble grappas, the biggest grappa producer in the whole country, liqueurs like Strega, amari, Aperol and Cynar.
Our bar is a reflection of Italy’s love affair with spirits. Our Italian themed craft bar explores the richness of their history with alcohol, in our cocktails, spritzers and amari.
