Our Story

Food Runs in Our Family

Milano’s started in the ski town of Glacier, at the base of the Mount Baker Ski Resort by the legendary Chef Tom Debari and his wife Jeannie.

After 24 years of success, Milano’s was bought by Chef Sam Hassan and his wife Nancy. After living in the mountain for 2 years, Sam took over Milano’s in 2015, improving recipes, wine list and creating Bar Veneto.

In December 2019 Sam & Nancy moved Milano’s to Fairhaven, the Historic District of Bellingham, improving the menu even further, making Bar Veneto an amazing Italian Craft Bar and creating the best and largest wine list in the county (around 250 carefully selected wines).
